Armed with the same research, design and technology used to produce top-of-the-range pedals for professional riders– the LOOK Keo Blade is a lightweight carbon pedal that still offers class-leading aerodynamic performance and durability, but at a more affordable price.

The body of LOOK Keo Blade is a true masterpiece in engineering. Due to both the lightweight but stiff carbon fibre pedal chassis and leaf spring mechanism, which is 40% lighter than a conventional coil spring - these pedals weigh just 220 grams per pair. Importantly, however, this leaf spring design doesn't just reduce system weight. With this design, the LOOK Keo Blade's also offers a dramatic increase in cleat security too, as well as smoothing airflow and improving aerodynamics on the underside of the pedal - a winning combination for steep climbs and frantic sprints. These pedals also come with stiffer ''16'' carbon blades that you can swap out, should you need any more tension.

As any bike fitter will tell you - a broader pedal platform offers more efficiency, stability and speed. Designed with a large, 67mm-wide durable stainless-steel plate which offers 700 mm² surface area; this pedal optimises the interface between cleat and pedal for stability, power transfer and efficiency. So, no matter your pedalling angle, these pedals ensure equally optimised performance for all riders regardless of fit.

LOOK has completely redesigned the spindle of this pedal to improve efficiency. Now, the newly oversized axle and spindle combination pass through the internal roller and needle bearings under the pedal platform. As a result, these pedals save 2 watts compared to their predecessor, when pedalling at 100rpm. By increasing the distance between these bearings by 25%, LOOK has also improved rigidity across the entire width of the pedal, noticeably improving power transfer when you put the hammer down. LOOK has also made a marked improvement in the all-weather durability too. Now, this axle comes with an updated end plug, O-ring washer and an internal doubled lipped seal, which helps to make the pedal up to 120% more water-resistant than the previous model.
